“On that day you will say: “I thank you, ADONAI, because, although You were angry at me, Your anger is now turned away; and You are comforting me. “See! God is my salvation. I am confident and unafraid; for Yah ADONAI is my strength and my song, and He has become my Salvation!” Then you will joyfully draw water from the springs of Salvation. On that day you will say, “Give thanks to ADONAI! Call on His name! Make His deeds known among the peoples, declare how exalted is His name. Sing to ADONAI, for He has triumphed – this is being made known throughout the earth. Shout and sing for joy, you who live in Tziyon; for the Holy One of Isra’el is with you in His greatness!” (Yeshayahu [Isaiah] 12:1-6)The song of praise in this chapter is so very fitting for the return of the outcasts of Israel from their long captivity. It can also be applied to the case of the sinner, when he first finds peace and joy in believing. And how fitting are these words to that of the believer, when his peace is renewed after corrections for backslidings as well as to the whole company of the redeemed, when they meet before the throne of Adonai in heaven. The promise is sure and the blessings it contains are very rich. The benefits enjoyed through our Messiah Yeshua call for the largest praise and thanksgiving that can be offered up to Him. By and through receiving Yeshua, the Root of Jesse, the penalty against sin is turned away, for He is our Salvation, our Shalom, our Peace. We are to triumph in God. We can say of our God: “I will trust Him to prepare me for His salvation, and preserve me in it. I will trust Him with all my concerns, not doubting, but resting in the knowledge that He will make all work for good.”Faith in Adonai is the sovereign remedy against tormenting fears. Many believers have the God of Israel for their strength, but not for their song. They continue to walk in darkness of doubt and not in the Light of their salvation. Those who have God for their strength need also to make Him their song – that is, give Him the glory and take comfort in His keeping strength. This salvation is from the love of God the Father, YHVH. It comes to us through God the Son, Yeshua. And it is applied to our lives by the power of God the Spirit, Ruach HaKodesh. When this is seen by faith, the trembling one learns to hope in God and is delivered from fear. The purifying and sanctifying influences of Ruach HaKodesh flows through the mediation of Yeshua, who reigns as our Cohen Gadol, our High Priest, and is conveyed by means of God’s Torah, His instructions to us. Hebrews 4: 14-16 is our great reminder:“Therefore, since we have a great Cohen Gadol who has passed through to the highest heaven, Yeshua, the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we acknowledge as true. For we do not have a Cohen Gadol unable to empathize with our weaknesses; since in every respect He was tempted just as we are, the only difference being that He did not sin. Therefore, let us confidently approach the throne from which God gives grace, so that we may receive mercy and find grace in our time of need.”Praise be to God!!! We have wells of salvation opened on every side and may draw from them the waters of life and consolation. Let us encourage one another to praise God. May we be always found among those who say, “See! God is my salvation. I am confident and unafraid; for Yah ADONAI is my strength and my song, and He has become my Salvation!” |
