The Land of Israel is Adonai’s land. He will give it to whom He will and He has given it to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. When Adonai called Moshe, Adonai again reaffirmed that He had given the Land of Israel to the descendants of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Moshe. To Abraham: “Then Adonai appeared to Abram and said, “To your descendants I will give this land.” (B’resheet [Genesis] 12:7)To Isaac: “Then Adonai appeared to him and said: “Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you; for to you and your descendants I give all these lands, and I will perform the oath which I swore to Abraham your father. And I will make your descendants multiply as the stars of heaven; I will give to your descendants all these lands; and in your seed all the nations of the earth shall be blessed; because Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments, My statutes, and My laws.” (B’resheet [Genesis] 26:2-5)To Jacob: “I am the Adonai Elohim of Abraham your father and the Elohim of Isaac; the land on which you lie I will give to you and your descendants. Also your descendants shall be as the dust of the earth; you shall spread abroad to the west and the east, to the north and the south; and in you and in your seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed. Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land; for I will not leave you until I have done what I have spoken to you.” (B’resheet [Genesis] 28:13-15)To Moses: “I will take you as My people, and I will be your Elohim. Then you shall know that I am Adonai your Elohim who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians. And I will bring you into the land which I swore to give to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; and I will give it to you as a heritage: I am Adonai.’” (Sh’mot [Exodus] 6:7-8)With the understanding that this is Adonai’s land that He has given to the Children of Israel, the Jewish people, petition Adonai to watch over His people, for His holy name’s sake. Not unto us, O Adonai, not unto us, but to Your name give glory, because of Your mercy, because of Your truth. Why should the Gentiles say, “So where is their Elohim?” But our Elohim is in heaven; He does whatever He pleases. (Tehillim [Psalms] 115:1-3)Adonai, we plead with You for Your name’s sake, that You protect this people whom You are gathering from the ends of the earth – so that the world will see that Adonai rules in Zion unto the ends of the world. Abba, reveal to this nation of Israel that You are their defense. But I will sing of Your power; yes, I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; for You have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble. To You, O my Strength, I will sing praises; for Elohim is my defense, my Elohim of mercy. (Tehillim [Psalms] 59:16-17)But Adonai has been my defense, and my Elohim the rock of my refuge. (Tehillim [Psalms] 94:22)Thank You for the Israeli Defense Forces, for giving the leaders’ wisdom and insight. We pray for this people to first place their trust in the real IDF – Israel’s Divine Father! Adonai, this is Your land and Your people. Arise and scatter Your enemies.Do not keep silent, O God! Do not hold Your peace, And do not be still, O Elohim! For behold, Your enemies make a tumult; and those who hate You have lifted up their head. They have taken crafty counsel against Your people, and consulted together against Your sheltered ones. They have said, “Come, and let us cut them off from being a nation, that the name of Israel may be remembered no more.” For they have consulted together with one consent; they form a confederacy against You … … … Fill their faces with shame, That they may seek Your name, O Adonai. Let them be confounded and dismayed forever; yes, let them be put to shame and perish, that they may know that You, whose name alone is Adonai, are the Most High over all the earth. (Psalm 83:1-18, specifically vs. 1-5 and 16-18)Adonai, give to Prime Minister Netanyahu, Defense Minister Ya’alon, IDF Chief of Staff Gantz, and the other leaders, whatever they need – physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually – to see this war that Hamas started, end with a victory for Israel. Abba, press Israel’s leaders to destroy Hamas’ capability of firing unguided missiles at Israeli civilians. Give Israel the time to do this as we know the world is already complaining about civilian casualties in Gaza. Do not allow Israel to be more concerned about the enemy’s civilians than about its’ own. Help Israel’s leaders to be determined to do whatever it takes to protect Israel’s citizens. And finally, Adonai, protect all of Israel’s spies and collaborators in Gaza. |
